Emiliano Godoy
Industrial designer from Pratt Institute's graduate program (New York, 2004), he also holds a BA degree in industrial design from Universidad Iberoamericana (Mexico City, 1997). He has received several awards and scholarships, such as a Fulbright scholarship for graduate studies (New York-Mexico City, 2002), a Bronze Leaf at the International Furniture Design Award (Asahikawa, Japan, 2005), a Conduit Award (New York, 2005) and an honorable mention at Mexico's First Design Biennial (Mexico City, 2001), as well as many academic achievement awards. His work has been featured at many fairs and shows around the world, such as the Museo Franz Mayer (Mexico City, 2006), ICFF (New York, 2003, 2004 and 2005), International Furniture Design Award (Asahikawa, 2005), Ambiente (Frankfurt, 2003), hOLAnDA ‘03 and ‘05 (Amsterdam, 2003 and 2005) and Galeria de Arte Mexicano (Mexico City, 2005). He teaches sustainable design at UNAM's Center for Industrial Design Research, as well as design and drawing classes at ITESM, both undegraduate industrial design programs in Mexico City. His work has appeared in international design publications such as ID Magazine, Dwell, Wallpaper, Azure, Architectural Record, Arquine and Designer Magazine. With experience in furniture, products, architecture, urban furnishings, art and exhibits design; Emiliano Godoy works primarily in projects about applied sustainability.
